Throughout the first week of March, Milwaukee celebrated strong, successful women in our community with Women’s Entrepreneurship Week. Self-described on their website, Women’s Entrepreneurship Week is “a series of events that brings together kickass women and their allies in southeastern Wisconsin to network, collaborate and win together.”

And that’s exactly what the week was. It was not just for entrepreneurs or just for women, but it was inspired by the strong professional women in the greater Milwaukee area and the entrepreneurial mindset that has shaped not just the female professional success in and around the city, but the professional reputation of the community as a whole.

There were over 60 events hosted throughout the greater Milwaukee area throughout the week, with 6 of those being held at the Continuus Technologies office, one of which was headlined by our office-mate Rebecca Heidepriem and another by two of our own Continuus team members. Presentations at our office included topics like finding inspiration and motivation from chronic illness and tragedy, creating meaningful brand experiences, using content marketing to generate leads, learning to work with others through DISC personality assessments, and building a winning team in order to support your business success. TLDR; the presentations spanned a wide range of topics and we learned a TON from the presenters and their audiences alike.

We were honored to be part of such an impactful week of events and to meet so many local professionals. Continuus Technologies currently employs about 20 people, with women representing strong roles in every facet of our organization: sales, marketing, enterprise data management developers, and business intelligence/data science engineers. When we moved into our office in January, our vision was to create a environment where our co-workers, partners, clients, and community would feel comfortable gathering to collaborate, network, learn, and grow. Our role as a venue sponsor for Women’s Entrepreneurship Week helped us do exactly that, and we are very grateful for the opportunity presented by Accelity Marketing.

Continuus Technologies looks forward to hosting more events in the future, meeting more people around our community, and collaborating with our neighbors to keep moving Milwaukee forward!
