Alteryx Designer 2023.2 is here! This new update comes with groundbreaking features that will enhance your operations in Designer.

Here are the new features to look out for, with more details on each below:

  • Custom Templates
  • Find Missing Macros
  • Data Manipulation Indicator
  • Formula functions
  • Custom Formulas
  • Calculate Product
  • Migration Tool
  • DCM Support for ODBC Technologies

Custom Templates

Preserve your current workflow, macro, or app as a template for future reuse, either individually or for sharing with others. These templates can encompass familiar workflow setups, allowing you to reduce the time spent on formatting workflows and focus more on delivering solutions.

Finding Missing Macros in Workflows

When opening a workflow, an icon displaying a black question mark appears when the macro cannot be located. Resolve this issue of the missing macro by updating its location before initiating the workflow.

Data Manipulation Indicator

A new change indicator has been added to the Results pane to show if data cleansing, filtering, or sorting actions have been applied in a data column. New operators for date fields are now available, allowing users to filter results marked as both "OK" and "Not OK."

New Formula Functions

  • String - GetPart, GetLeft, and GetRight

Custom Formula Functions

Developers can create custom formula functions using C++, and the AMP engine.

Calculate Product

Calculate the product of a group via the Summarize tool.

DCM Migration Tool

Replace connection strings in preexisting workflows to DCM connections using the Migration tool.

DCM Support for ODBC Technologies

Expanding DCM support to encompass all database technologies. It is now possible to generate and store connections using DCM without the initial step of creating DSNs. Moreover, syncing connections between your Designer and Server instances via DCM is now achievable without the necessity of establishing DSNs.
